What Does H8 or H9 Mean on a Battery?

H8 or H9 is the battery code according to the DIN standards (a German Industrial Standard Part Number System), which are commonly used in European countries and rarely used in countries of the United States.

H9 is another specific type of battery with minor changes as compared to the H8 battery. This battery can be compared with the BCI group sizes as the H9 group size depicts 95R of the BCI group. The same is the case with H8, which has a BCI group size of 49.
